Five for Friday: 4-18

It’s been a minute. Life became overwhelming because my dad has been in the hospital the past two weeks.  It was pretty serious but he is doing better now, thank goodness!
The last 17 days flew by and also stood still at the same time.
Linking up with DoodleBugs while I try to remember it all! You should too!

Two Baby Shower{s} and a Bridal Shower: I am waiting patiently to be an Aunt to two special babies.  I am also in one of my best friend's wedding in July.  I am so thankful to be a part of these special occasions.

Lots of working outside on our house.  The weather was beautiful for a few days and by midweek we were back to FREEZING temperatures.  That’s rightit went from 63 to 28 degrees in the SAME DAY!

Plants and Flowers and SeedsOh MY! In my kinder group, we planted our own sunflowers and have been keeping an observation journal!! Today we started talk about Earth Day with my vocab cards you can find here for free : )
I also found an ADORABLE short story/activity on Starfall that worked GREAT with my kinder ESL group.  While on the search for interactive Earth day resources, I came across Teacher Gone Digital's blog and she put together a great list of online stories and interactive websites on a post about Earth day that you can find here!

Two new products.
Would you like to try one of them?

I hope you have an Extraordinary Easter!

Currently {Celebrating} April

I am linking up with Farley’s Currently April and giving away some goodies to CELEBRATE some of my recent personal milestones.  You should link up too because it’s pretty much the best bloggin’ way possible to start the month!

The 20-25 minutes before the students come in is the most quiet.  I try to soak it up because once they bust through the doors, it sounds similar to a hoard of wild hyenas.

It was 48 degrees this morning which felt like 75 after the Winter {and Spring} we have had.

I will not believe anything anyone says...until tomorrow.  Speaking of April Fool's Day--Do you play any jokes on your students?!

After the PSSAs last week {which felt like the longest week ever}, I could really use a Spring Break that I hear a lot of teachers get.  Not around here.  No sirree Bob--we have to keep on trucking until Easter which is a measly 3 day weekend due to snow days. : (

I just switched to the middle school schedule a few weeks ago for this new position which means getting up earlier and getting out earlier--I LOVE IT! Makes my evening feels SO much longer.  AND there is never a crowd at the grocery store at 3:00.

Now onto the celebration....

Celebrating 20 followers in my TPT storeWOW!

 Check out my store and pick something out that you think you might use in your classroom, leave a comment and your email and it could be yours!  While you are there, you could turn my 20 into 21? {or actually a real, legit 20 followers because I cannot lie, I am follow myself: )}

Celebrating 200 votesDOUBLE WOW! This means so much to me because I LOVE hearing  reading feedback.  I think we all can agree, it’s what keeps us motivated to keep doing what we are doing.  Through receiving feedback, it has also inspired me to GIVE feedback as much as possible {especially on freebies, because they need love too!}  And not just ‘thanks’ although that is appreciated especially if it’s accompanied with all 4 starts.  But MEANINGFUL feedback.  I understand there is not always the time so I will gladly accept the 4 star ‘thanks’ : ) Speaking of thanking---as a thanks to you, check out this freebie!

Celebrating : Starting The Sassy Sub Facebook page. If you go there and “Like” it and then tell me you did by leaving a comment and your email I will send you my Spring into Math Centers. Bribe? NO! Positive reinforcement is what I call it : )

Hope you have a wonderful April : )
