Math Spring Centers Giveaway!

Happy Happy Spring All!

        This week flew by! Time for some Five for Friday reflection! I am going to make this QUICK because I need to get back to watching March Madness : )

I turned 27 on Saturday! {Breaking Bad bacon celebration!}

It was a beautiful day weather-wise and I snapped this selfie in my new springy scarf.

Infinity scarves are my new favorite obsession! I may have gotten three more as gifts.

I am still loving my *new* job! This week we learned all about traveling and transportation in my ESL kinder group.  We used a book from this Transportation Unit freebie by Kim Swoveland.
 I cannot believe the growth going on! Not only are we learning and speaking LOTS of English words, their writing is just awesome! One of my kiddos was feeling ambitious enough to sound out "ambulance"!

I felt the inspiration to create some math centers! Check them out! Oh and leave a comment for a chance to win them : )

I may or may not already be in my pajamas.  I plan on lounging on the couch watching the excitement of March Madness on this lovely Friday evening.  Does anyone else love March Madness?!  I may not be in the running for a billion dollars but I still find it thrilling!

Happy Weekend!!

Five for Friday Birthday Giveaway!

It’s FRIDAY, I am already home from work and tomorrow is my Birthday : ) SO much to be happy about. Linkin' up with Doodle Bugs is the official start the weekend!  Here we go!

My new {long term} job is just THE BEST! I seriously love it.  I get to work with all different grades and I even go to the middle school.  At first, going to the middle school was the most intimidating part {I thought}. Turns out, starting my day there is one of my favorite parts of the job!
And I find kindergarten skills group to be the most challenging. {crazy, right?!}  But I used these awesome sight word worksheets today by More than Math by Mo.  She has really awesome activities!! I can’t wait to use some of her thematic color by sight word pages!

Sight Word Bundle FREEBIE - Read Color Circle Create Dolch Words

The hubs has been spoiling me this week!!
He even surprised me and put up a new backsplash in our kitchen!! It’s not completely done yet (needs to dry before we can grout) but I am already LOVING it!

I finished a new product!!

Here are some graphic organizers for teaching Author’s Purpose.  I am kind of a huge fan of Author’s purpose and I like to talk about it with every. single. story.  I just think it is that important.  Leave a comment and I will pick 2 lucky commenters to send it to for free : )

A few weeks ago I blogged about how we were waiting on our new couch.  Well we finally got it.  LOVE!!!

And we put our old couch in the driveway to see if someone would take it.  It was gone in an hour. : )

With students on ALL different levels, it’s so fun to incorporate a wide range of lessons and activities to meet their needs.  I overheard my team teacher playing this for a student who just moved to the school on Monday and I thought I would share.  I am definitely going to be using this next week at the middle school.
It has a Jack Johnson-esque air to it.  I enjoy it : ) {which is okay because it's for children AND adults!}

Five for Friday...A mish mosh!
I love me some Five for Friday!
Let's rewind say two weeks. The Olympics feel like ago but I never got to post about the fun I saw going on!

I put together two Winter Olympic units and I shared the units as much as possible with teachers that I know.  Although I knew people must be using it elsewhere because of TPT sales, walking into a classroom I am subbing in and seeing my materials being used= priceless!

 Here’s some of what I saw:
I walked into a two day job in 2nd grade and found my Olympic vocabulary.  The teacher put all of my Sochi Unit worksheets together and students worked on their packet throughout the day when they had time. A few students asked if they could move to the back of the room so they could look at the vocab cards.  Of course!! I just love when kids use their resources for help or to find answers.  It makes my heart smile.

I can't take credit for the above picture.  One of my favorite teacher friends, Teri, put this together.  It was in the hallway for all to see!  I think it is gold medal worthy for sure! Then students used it to graph the final results.
Last but not least, another day in a friend's class included my math activities.  I just loved loved loved seeing them in action!!  The kids had a lot of fun with this dice rolling worksheet.
The hubs and I were invited by our awesome friends on a {fancy} bus trip down to Washington D.C. for a Hershey Bears game.  We got to watch from a suite and enjoy free food!! We felt like royalty : ) It was pretty fabulous!

Tuesday I subbed as a gym teacher! While I had done this before {a whole week once!}, it has been over a year.  And this time it was at a school where I know most of the kids.  They were kind of thrown off seeing me in yoga pants and sneakers, it was a fun day : )  We even got to listen to "Happy" while we stretched and exercised!
 I am almost completely Molly Stahl in every aspect of my life!! I got a new badge for school this week {no new picture : ( } and a new driver's license {new picture yayy!} Now I just need to go to the bank....
I had some exposure to some not so great opinions/ranting/complaining about teaching this week.  I understand everyone has frustrations and needs to vent.  But it was just difficult to listen to.  So I leave you with my own personal internal mantra for this week:
Have a Super Amazing Weekend!!

Currently...March and a Giveaway {sorta, kinda}

Happy Happy March, All! I love March for a lot of reasons.

--First and foremost, it’s my Birthday! I don’t think that will ever get “old”I am just one of those people who LOVES birthdays {especially my own : )} And I am not ashamed of it! I justify it because I don’t make a big deal {at least to the hubs} about Christmas, anniversaries or Valentine’s day.

--Second, it’s St. Patrick’s Dayanother one of my favorite holidays!  My maiden name is Fitzpatrickmy first name is Molly.  I am ALL kinds of Irish and it’s a big deal in my family.

--Third, this March I am being forced nice and sharing my b-day month with my sister-in-law and best friend who are BOTH having baby showers {and actual babies but just not this month}.  I am excited to be a part of such a special time and of course, be an aunt to both bundles of joy.

So I am linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy It’s FourthGrade! to share my currently March:
Listening: Self explanatory.  This is what we do--him-video games and me-computer.  I guess this is life before kids.  I am sure we will look back and miss these lazy Sundays on the couch.
Loving: I started my new long term ESL position on Thursday and I am absolutely in love! I get to work with grades K-6 all in ONE day {not at the same time though, thank goodness!}  I work with a variety of small groups throughout the day and it's very exciting and challenging.  I have learned so much already in 2 days and I am just ecstatic about what the new two months have in store!
Thinking: We are having our friends over tonight who both happen to be teachers!  As soon as I can peel myself away from playing around working on the computer, cleaning and cooking here I come!
Wanting: O. M. G. I am just at a complete standstill with creating new teaching stuff.  I have about 12 things started in various stages of production but can't seem to complete anything for the life of me.  Here's a peek at what I am working on:

So here's the {kinda, sorta} giveaway.  In order to hold myself accountable and complete something very soon, I will giveaway one of the above products--whichever I happen to finish next--to two lucky commenters!
Needing: I am just so not patient with blog design.  I know what I want but I am hesitant to cough up the money to pay for it.  I am semi-determined to do it on my own.  I could use any advice/tips/help. Please and Thank You!
?????: If you can guess the question correctly I will not only send you whatever project I finish next but you can pick something out of my tiny store for free.  Thanks for reading : )
Happy Saturday, Happy March!
